Retrosaria Brusca on luonteikas, sataprosenttinen villalanka, jossa yhdistyvät portugalilaisen Saloia-lampaan ja portugalilaisen merinolampaan villa. Saloia-lampaan historiaa on dokumentoitu 1800-luvulta asti, sillä sen villa kuuluu koko maan laadukkaimpiin villoihin. Bruscan tuntu on mukavan villainen ja pehmeä, kuitenkin eläväisen rouhea ja aito, konstailematon. Langan tuntu pehmenee pesun ja käytön myötä, ja se sopii hiukan takertuvaisen rakenteensa ansiosta mainiosti vaikkapa steekattavaan villatakkiin. Brusca on ns. "breed and flock specific" lanka, mikä kertoo sen alkuperän tunnettuudesta. Bruscaa, kuten muitakaan Retrosarian lankoja ei superwash-käsitellä tai valkaista ennen värjäystä. Sävyt A, B, C ja BC ovat langan värjäämättömät sävyt. Kunkin muun värinumeron kirjain kertoo, mihin näistä edellämainituista pohjista kyseinen väri on värjätty.
